PAST EVENTS

The 1st Management in Emerging Markets (MEM) Conference, held at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania on April 19-20, 2024, featured a range of panels and sessions. The event began with introductory remarks, followed by discussions with academic journal editors, PhD students’ research presentations, and panels on research infrastructure. The conference included parallel paper sessions focused on topics like stakeholder dynamics, gender disparities, environmental issues, and technological applications in emerging markets. It concluded with a fireside chat and a panel discussion on future directions. The conference was co-sponsored by the Lauder Institute, ESG Initiative, Penn Global Initiatives, the Mack Institute, and the Management Department at Wharton.
